Hello! I’m Emma and I have a problem with food. I think about it most of the time, and talk about it the rest of the time. When I wake up in the morning, the first thing that comes to mind is “what will we have for dinner” and as I drift off to sleep at night images of poached eggs and porridge flash through my subconscious in anticipation of the following morning. My love affair with food is not confined to eating it. I love buying it, reading about it, cooking it, growing it (the list goes on)…

In my pursuit of food in general I have stumbled across my philosophy. Eat fresh, local and seasonal and cook from scratch. This enables me to eat healthily and avoid too much refined sugar, salt and hidden chemicals. Where possible, I buy things with no labels at all, and otherwise, the fewer ingredients the better!

I completed the 12 week course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in December 2016, and am now embarking on a career in the food world! You will currently find me cooking up a storm in the kitchen of the Motorrad Hangar in Zurich. This is a brilliant new project set up by a group of young Swiss friends. You can become a member and work on your motorbike building projects, or you can simply drop by, soak up the atmosphere and drink a beer and have some ‘Market Table’ food.
